Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Sri Lanka

image Chinese businessmen show willingness to invest in Sri Lanka. A group of entrepreneurs who met President Mahinda Rajapakse at Temple Trees yesterday said.

 

In the meeting the top investors explained about the proposed investments to the President. The President explained the incentives and facilities that could be granted to them. The Chinese investors declared their willingness to invest in construction and development of infrastructure facilities.

 

This visit of the investors is in response to the request made by President Mahinda Rajapakse when he visited China recently. China in the resent past has launched a few major development projects in Sri Lanka

President noted about the necessity to develop the liberated Eastern Province and had indicated that establishment of an Industrial estate in the East would be beneficial to both countries.
