10 Sri Lankans deported from Maldives

The Maldives government has deported 10 Sri Lankans including two females for their involvement in crimes.

 

Printing counterfeit currency notes, brewing illegal liquor and consuming illegal liquor are the allegations against them, said the Deputy General Manager of Foreign Employment Bureau of Sri Lanka.

 

They were deported after they paid the penalty, as they were found guilty for the charges leveled against them. 200 Sri Lankan with similar charges were deported earlier also in different occasions.
