Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, who participated in the commonwealth conference at Uganda, has made a visit to Iran.

The president who is on a two days official visit is scheduled to meet Iranian President Ahamud Nizard for bilateral talks. Following the meeting the Sri Lankan President will meet religious leaders and political personalities to discuss about the long standing relationship between the countries, trade, investments and assistance.
