Highest honour bestowed on late leaders of the country is to extend support to eradicate the terrorism

President Mahinda Rajapakse says anybody who respect former President Ranasinghe Premadasa should extend support to eliminate tiger terrorism, as his life was lost  due to tiger terrorism.
The President made these remarks at the opening of a drawing of former President Premadasa in parliament today.  President Rajapakse has identified former President Premadasa as an efficient leader who had identified the interests of the common man.  The president has reminded the immense services rendered by the former president through such projects as Gam Udawa and Sucharhtia .
Leader of the opposition Ranil Wickremasinghe said the President Premadasa had gone forward with his own self energy.
Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara said the late President was a leader who was dedicated to eradicate poverty.  Member Sajith Premadasa said the philosophy of Ranasinghe Premadasa is suited for the present time as well.
Relatives of the family of the late President including  Mrs. Hema Premadasa and ambassadors and a large number of dignitaries attended the occasion.
