Twenty four terrorists killed; 426 AP mines found

Twenty four terrorists were killed in sporadic incidents in JAFFNA, VAVUNIYA and WELIOYA yesterday (12).
One terrorist was killed in confrontations with Army troops at NAGARKOVIL, yesterday (12) around 11.00 a.m.
Meanwhile, 07 AP mines were recovered in a search operation at MUHAMALAI yesterday (12) around 3.00 p.m.
Acting on information received from a civilian source following items were unearthed 04 maps, 01 pack and 01 pouch by army troops.
Two terrorists were killed in confrontations with Army troops at KOILMODE in VAVUNIYA yesterday 13 around 10.25 a.m.
Subsequently, 119 AP mines were recovered in a search operation.
Five terrorists were killed in confrontations at UMAYARATTUWARANKULAM, VAVUNIYA yesterday (12) around 9.35 a.m. at MULLIKULAM, VAVUNIYA three terrorists were killed in a confrontation with Army troops yesterday (12) around 11.45 a.m. while at VILATTKULAM, 07 terrorists were killed around 2.05 p.m. Meanwhile two soldiers were injured at MULLIKULAM around 12.20 p.m. Around 9.35 a.m. the same day at NAVATHKULAM two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Army troops.
A terrorist was killed in confrontations with Army troops at KOKKUTHUDUWAI, WELIOYA yesterday (12). While two were killed by troops in the same area around 12.15 p.m. four terrorists were killed in confrontations with Army troops at ANDANKULAM, WELIOYA yesterday (12) around 1.00 p.m. while an LTTE bunker was captured at PODDUKATTAMALAI where 300 AP mines were recovered by troops.
