17 terrorists killed in Vavuniya and Mannar

 Seventeen LTTE terrorists were killed and three (03) were injured  in further confrontations in the VAVUNIYA and MANNAR areas on Saturday (23). Two of the terrorists were killed in the MULLIKULAM area, VAVUNIYA when the army attacked a terrorist bunker around 3.25 in the afternoon. A soldier was also killed in the attack.
 
Seven (07)  terrorists were reported killed and three(03)  were injured when the army attacked a terrorist bunker line around 10.10  in the morning in the PALAMODAI area, MANNAR. A soldier was injured during the attack.
 
Meanwhile, four terrorists were killed when the Army launched an attack and destroyed completely two terrorist bunkers  in the evening around 5.30  yesterday (23) in PERAKAMAM area, MANNAR. A soldier was also injured.
 
Four terrorists were also killed  when the Army confronted  the terrorists in a fierce encounter in the morning yesterday (23) in  ADAMPAN  area, MANNAR.
 
Four Improvised Explosive Devices (IED's) were  recovered  around 9.30 in the morning by Troops conducting a search operation in the PARAPPAKANDAL area, MANNAR yesterday (23).
