Austria is to provide medical equipment for 19 hospitals

Austria is to provide medical equipment for 19 hospitals including the Colombo National Hospital. An agreement to this effect was signed today at the ministry of health.
Under the agreement the government of Austria will provide equipment worth 1120 million rupees. Ministry secretary Dr. Athula Kahadaliyanage says the stock will include CT scanners and Ultra sound equipment. Another agreement pertaining to medical equipment will be signed next month at the Ministry of Finance. Dr. Kahadaliyanage said these equipment will be provided to hospitals before the end of this year.
