More Lankan workers to return

Another batch 162 Sri Lankan workers will be brought back from the Middle East this week, the Foreign Employment Bureau said yesterday (27).

They had abruptly lost their jobs due to various problems.

This batch includes people who were being sent back from Riyadh and Kuwait through the intervention of Sri Lanka’s missions in those countries, Deputy General Manager SLBFE L. K. Ruhunage said.

Another batch of such workers will be flown in next week, he said.
