Army Commander Meets Wanni Ground Commanders

 
COMMANDER OF THE ARMY Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka met senior ground Commanders in Wanni area Saturday (29) morning at the Security Forces Headquarters- Wanni (SFHQ-W).

Wanni Security Forces Commander Major General Jagath Jayasuriya received the visiting Army Chief, accompanied by a few senior officers at Army Headquarters at the air strip.
Latest, developments in the Security Situation and steps taken to provide basic facilities to IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) arriving here from un-cleared areas were briefed by the Security Forces Commander to Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka.

After listening to briefings by senior commanders on their respective areas, Army Commander issued further instructions on future security measures to be taken.
