Mark Anthony Fernando no more

One of SLBC’s pioneer broadcasters Mark Anthony Fernando has passed away. Mr. Anthony was 83 years old at the time of his demise.

He was a renowned broadcaster from the 1950s when, then Radio Ceylon was shifted to Torrington Square. Mr. Anthony also excelled in news reading and continued his broadcasting career till the 1970s. He was also a programme organizer of then English national service.
