The Central Bank says the electronic retail banking services have become popular .Internet banking , has increased by 49 percent last year compared to the previous year.

The E-banking dealings in the past year is amount to 150 billion rupees.

According to the central bank reports customers have made transactions worth about 70 billion rupees through electronic cards the year 2007.
