21 victims killed in LTTE claymore attack identified

Twenty-one innocent passengers including young eight young women were killed and over 60 suffered injuries due to the LTTE roadside bomb explosion took place in Katubedda, Moratuwa this morning, June 06.

Post-mortems and Magisterial inquiries into their deaths were conducted at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital morgue last afternoon.

Following dead personnel have already been identified, according to the police sources. Ms S. Kanthi Senanayake (Piliyandala), Ms Thilini Maduka (Piliyandala), Ms Seetha Jayalatha Fernando (Delthara), Ms Samanthi Kanepola, Ms Wiswaka Gayan (Kiriwaththuduwa), Ms Madushika Sewanthi (Ambalagoda), Ms Ayantha Damayanthi (Madapatha), Ms Sanduni Jayasinghe (Piliyandala), Ranjith Thilakarathe (Gonapola), Nuwan Manokara (Embilipitiya),Sujeewa Jayal, Thanua Priyanka (Tangalle), K.G.K. Chathura, Wasantha Priyalal Fernando, Gemunu Rathnayake (Kandy), K.A. Indika, Sujith Hettiarachchi, W.G. Thanuja, D. Kularathne (Madapatha), S.N.D. Jayasinghe and Liyanage Thilakaratne Fernando (Moratuwa) .
