Hand grenades, ammunitions uncovered on civilian information -Jaffna

Troops acting on civilian information have uncovered 18 hand grenades, a T-56 assault riffle and few other war like items during a search operation conducted in general area Kopay, Jaffna today(June 29) at around 1.30 p.m.

The items were found hidden in an abandoned land, which also included 3 LTTE combat uniforms, an I-com set, a water can, 03 x LTTE packs, 120 x T-56 ammunitions, 05 field dressings and some water purifying tablets, security sources said.
