Security Forces handover 26 LTTE corpses to ICRC- Vavuniya

Bodies of 26 LTTE terrorists were handed over to the ICRC officials in Vavuniya, by Security Forces today (June 29) at 2.30p.m.
Preparations were made by the ICRC to take them to the LTTE dominated areas across Omanthai Entry/Exit point. The bodies were found by the Army soldiers while consolidating defences following heavy fighting with LTTE in general area Chiraddikulama, Mannar.
One of the LTTE's main strategic bases known as 'Five Four' base was overrun by the military on 26th June, which resulted in heavy losses to the LTTE, security sources said.
