Founder leader of the TMVP, Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman, had once again used a forged passport to make his return journey home from the UK,

said head of the UNP Media Unit and MP Lakshman Kiriella.

Mr. Kiriella, speaking to media alleged that Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had become a haven for forged passport racketeers.

Karuna had fled the country following an internal party dispute and arrived in the UK on a fake passport, for which offence, he served a prison term in that country.

Speaking further, Mr. Kiriella noted that the three top Indian officials who were in the island recently had called for a political solution that went beyond the 13th Constitutional Amendment.

He urged the government to announce its stand without delay regarding this call by New Delhi.
