A ship service to transport patients between Trincomalee and Jaffna was commenced by ICRC.

This ship on the recommendation of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Director will transport serious patients, who need further treatment.

Drugs and medical equipments for hospitals in Jaffna will be taken from Colombo by this ship on its way back to Jaffna.
