Sri Lankan held at Chennai airport

CHENNAI: A 23-year-old Sri Lankan national was arrested at the Chennai airport on Sunday on charges of holding an Indian passport.

Immigration authorities said Sathyavarman of Sri Lanka was on his way to board a Dubai-bound Emirates flight. When he came for immigration clearance, the authorities found him holding an Indian passport, which he had obtained fraudulently. He was detained and handed over to airport police.
