Special Holiday on 1st August

Latest governmental reports indicate Friday 1st August would be decalred a special holiday to help with logistics for security arrangements needed for the 15th SAARC Summit, scheduled to begin from 2nd August at the BMICH.

All security arangements effected for the SAARC Summit will be in force till mid night 04th August, the reports say.

It is also reported that special areas around the BIA Katunayake, BMICH and the Mt. Lavinia Hotel would be declared as high security zones from 25th July.
