Organisers of a recent annual dance of a prominent Colombo club who had hired a group of local girls to dance in the nude had not anticipated the possibility of someone taking photographs and putting them on the net.
Although the name of the club suggests that it represents a particular community, none of its members had been involved in organising the event. The dance was organised at a hotel which has been mentioned in a high profile litigation in which a former VVIP was made a respondent.
