07 LTTE terrorists killed & 26 wounded in confrontations

WELIOYA: 05 LTTE terrorists were killed and 16 others were wounded in a confrontation in JANAKAPURA North area in between 9.00 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. yesterday (20). 01 Army soldier also was wounded in this incident.
02 LTTE cadres were wounded in an incident taken place in KIRIIBBANWEWA North area around 2.40 p.m. yesterday (20). 01 Army soldier also was wounded in this incident.

01 LTTE terrorist was killed and 04 others were wounded when the troops captured 05 LTTE bunkers in KIRIIBBANWEWA North area yesterday (20). 

01 LTTE cadre was killed and 04 others were wounded when the troops captured an LTTE strong hold in KIRIIBBANWEWA North area around 4.05 p.m. yesterday (20).

Subsequently following military items also were recovered by the troops from the area.

One Army soldier was injured in an Anti Personnel mine explosion in KIRI IBBANWEWA North area around 12.40 p.m. yesterday (20).

Two Army soldiers were wounded in Improvised Explosive Devise blasts in KIRI IBBANWEWA North area around 1.35 p.m. and 3.35 p.m. yesterday (20).

One Army soldier was wounded in a confrontation in KIRIIBBANWEWA North area around 9.50 p.m. yesterday (20).

Following military items were recovered by the troops in a search operation conducted in KIRI IBBANWEWA area through out the day 0n Sunday (20).
