BROWNS and HAVELLS agreed to introduce world-class electrical equipment to Sri Lanka.

World’s sixth largest Electrical equipment manufacture Havells India Ltd signed an agreement with the Brown and Company Ltd Sri Lanka to introduce world-class electrical goods to the local market.Brown’s Director Ajith Devasurendra said this joint alliance will help them immensely in entering new markets while satisfying customers .Havells Vice President Vijay Malik said the company would introduce an impressive range of electrical products ranging from cables to sophisticated switch gear, lighting systems and fans laying an emphasis on the environment and energy efficiency. He said Havells India Ltd has over 200 staff for research and product development.“Our aim is to introduce high quality electrical equipment with energy saving capacity, he explained.Responding media at a press briefing held on Thursday in Colombo he said at present Havells enter the European and leading markets to distribute its products. According to the BROWNS the company plans to introduce these products for the entire market including rural areas.The company said it works with the rural sector and the company needs to help the masses to save energy through these products.
