MR calls for explanation on BoI status for massage parlours

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday called for the Board of Investment’s explanation, on how BoI status had been granted to some massage parlours.

Informed sources said that the presidental directive came during last night’s meeting of the Cost of Living Committee, held at Temple Trees.


"The massage parlour issue was raised by one of the participants at the meeting.The President promptly directed his secretary Lalith Weeratuga to call for the BoI’s explanation."

Among those who participated in last nights meeting were Ministers Bandula Gunawardena and A.H.M.Fowzie and relevant Ministry Secretaries.
