Baur to visit India

Norwegian Special Envoy to Sri Lanka Jon Hanssen Baur is to visit India soon to explore how to take the peace process ahead. But there are no immediate prospects of fresh peace talks.

 

Baur will be meeting officials of the External Affairs Ministry and National  Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan to have a personal assessment of what India is thinking about the Sri Lankan conflict.

 

His visit is an important one when the Sri Lanka President is holding talks with Indian leaders, informed sources said.
