Other countries too must ban TRO – Bogollagama

Sri Lanka Minister of External Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama has requested the other countries also to freeze the assts of the TRO.

The US government on establishing the fact, that the TRO raised funds internationally to provide weapons to the LTTE, decided to freeze the funds. It also has prohibited the TRO to open any other Fronts using another name. Countries like Australia, Canada, Denmark, France and Britain must follow this example, said Bogollagama.

The Sri Lankan Government too had frozen the TRO assets on receipt of the intelligence report based on its money transactions during the year 2006, said the Foreign Minister who wanted the other countries to follow the example of the US Government.
