We cannot admit the killing

A polite community will not admit the killing of a politician with alternate opinion, said the Prime Minster Ratnasiri Wickramanayake.

The assassination of TNA Parliamentarian Nadarajah Raviraj is a barbaric act and I vehemently condemn this killing, he said in his condolence message.

He carefully listened to others opinions in the parliament and outside. We must have opportunities to exchange opinions in the democratic system. Opponents of democracy also could be included into this.

The government of President Mahinda Rajapakse has requested for an impartial inquiry to bring the culprits to books.

I personally and on behalf of the government convey the heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
