War is to quell terrorism

The war is being taken forward to quell the terrorism and not to solve the ethnic conflict, said the Media Minister, Luxman Yapa Abeywardhena in a press conference held to elaborate the present political situation of the country.
Achieving consensus among all the political parties is not an easy thing. It is not an easy task to avoid the differences of the parties. If we could not achieve the goal by the All Party Conference, it could be dissolved and the government will forward a proposal by some other means. However, the government is doing all its best to bring a political solution.
