Curfew in Jaffna was reduced by 4 hours from yesterday. So far the curfew was imposed in Jaffna from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, but from yesterday the curfew time was from 8.00 p.m. to 4.00 a.m., the Palaly army head quarters said.

The security situation in Jaffna has improved hence the curfew was reduced. This decision was taken after a meeting with the army commander Sarath Fonseka who visited Jaffna, said Palaly army head quarters.
