General’s statement to the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission presented to Supreme Court

Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission Inquiries Director, Samanthi Jayamanne said that the statement recorded by the Commission from General Sarath Fonseka, who is currently under military custody, has been presented to the Supreme Court.

She said the General’s statement was handed over to the Supreme Court due to a request made by courts in relation to the FR petition filed by Anoma Fonseka on behalf of her husband, General Fonseka.
