The Citizen’s Charter introduced by the government is to be implemented at all government institutions.
The aim of this measure is to enable the public to obtain services at public institutions in a faster and efficient manner. The charter will publicly display information such as the procedure for obtaining specific services from government institutions and the time taken for each task. A workshop was held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute to brief ministry secretaries on the programme.
At the workshop minister Karu Jayasuriya observed that by receiving the necessary information the public could obtain services from government institutions without any waste of time.
