The Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation currently in the UK to study British parliamentary affairs undertook an observation into the activities of the Irish parliament yesterday.
The Sri Lankan group held a discussion with former Irish guerrilla leader Jerry Adams. At the discussion Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva pointed out that the international community also has a responsibility to direct the LTTE towards a political settlement at a time the government is endeavouring to achieve devolution of power under the 13th constitutional amendment.
The Sri Lankan delegation includes Speaker W.J.M. Lokubandara, Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and parliamentarian M.H.M. Maharoof.
