Unstable’ Kuwaiti stabs Lankan to death

KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti has allegedly murdered a Sri Lankan expatriate in his thirties by stabbing him four times in his stomach at Sabahiya Monday morning.
Security sources revealed that the Operation Rooms of the Ministry of Interior received a call that a murder has taken place in a house in Sabahiya and immediately, security agents and medical emergency team rushed to the location. The medical team tried to resuscitate the Sri Lankan but he succumbed to his injuries.
According to sources, the brother of the property owner came to the diwaniya in the house and found the Sri Lankan sleeping there. A quarrel broke out between them leading to the Kuwaiti stabbing the Sri Lankan. Sources said that the alleged murderer has a history of mental disorder and has earlier been admitted at psychiatric hospital.
The security agents have referred him for psychiatric examination. Meanwhile, investigations continue.
