The President presents cabinet paper to look for alternatives to overcome fuel crisis.
A complete report is to be prepared on the alternative measures that should be adopted for fuel management in the country.
Presenting a special memorandum for cabinet approval President Mahinda Rajapaksa has requested all ministers to put forward suggestions that could be practically implemented so that there ensues a reduction in the consumption of fuel.
Speaking at the cabinet press briefing in Colombo Thursday minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said the government will then prepare a strategic plan to overcome the fuel crisis.
Cabinet approval has also been granted for the second stage of the project to construct bridges utilising Spanish assistance. 13 bridges will be constructed under this stage.
Cabinet has also approved a memorandum to introduce aryurvedic and traditional Sri Lankan treatment to Australia.
