A large stock of LTTE military items found - Welioya

Troops conducted search operation based on information received from civilian sources, have found a large stock of military items buried by the LTTE terrorists in Welioya area yesterday, July 18.

The search operation was launched around 12.30 p.m in general area Akkarayanawei and claymore mines, hand grenades, anti-personnel mines and a large stock of medical items including saline bottles were among the items found, defence sources said.
