Thirteen LTTE terrorists killed & thirty wounded in the Wanni battle front

One Army soldier sacrificed his life in a confrontation in PEMPIODDAI East area around 4.30 a.m. yesterday (22). One T-56 weapon was recovered by the troops after the incident.
  
One LTTE terrorist was killed in a confrontation in NAVATKULAM area around 10.55 a.m. yesterday (22). Five Anti Personnel mines were recovered by the troops from the area after the incident. 

One Army soldier was wounded in an Anti Personnel mine explosion in MURUNKAIADIPIDDI area around 2.20 p.m. yesterday (22).

Twelve LTTE terrorists were killed and thirty others were wounded when the troops destroyed five LTTE bunkers in MURUNKAIADIPIDDI area between 1200 noon and 3.00 p.m. yesterday (22). Four dead bodies including two males and two females were recovered by the troops with the following military equipment.

Two Army soldiers were wounded in two different LTTE mortar attacks in MURUNKANADIPIDDI area around 1.40 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. yesterday (22).

One Army soldier was wounded due to LTTE small arms fire in MURUNKAIADIPIDDI area around 5.00 p.m. yesterday (22).
