Five Media rejects SAARC boycott claim The Free Media Movement led five local media rights groups have rejected an allegation that they had called for a media boycott of the 15th SAARC summit that concluded in Colombo yesterday (Aug 03rd).
In a statement, the Five Media said the state media and other interests had leveled the accusation.

They noted that they had no need to make such a call from the media.

The allegation only goes on to show the bankruptcy of the accusers, the statement said.

It has been signed by the FMM, the Working Journalists Association, the Federation of Media Employees Trade Union, the Muslim Media Forum and the Tamil Media Alliance.
